Cynthia L. Benavides
Cynthia L. Benavides grew up in La Feria, Texas, where she graduated from La Feria High School. She received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin in May 1999. After graduation, Cynthia spent four years teaching high school English.
In 2006, she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence and her Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She was admitted to the bar and joined the firm the same year. She is married to Alex Benavides, and they reside in Weslaco, Texas.
Her major areas of practice include real estate transactions, business planning, and other business oriented matters. Cynthia's accomplishments include being a graduate of the Leadership State Bar of Texas Class of 2010, and being the 2010 recipient of the Hidalgo County Bar Association Member of the Year Award. Cynthia is a past president and current member of the Women's Bar Section, a past president of the CBM [Mid-Valley Scholarship] Foundation Inc., and a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Hidalgo County Bar Association, and the Hidalgo County Young Lawyer's Association.
