Biography

Robert L. 'Bob' Galligan is originally from Tennessee and came to the Valley in 1964 to be a teacher and coach with Mission ISD. He received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee and a Master's Degree in Education from Memphis State University. Bob attended law school at St. Mary's University where he was the Articles Editor of "The Law Journal" and recipient of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel's "Outstanding Law Journal Article Award."

Bob entered practice with the law firm of Rankin, Kern & Martinez and became a partner in Smith, McIlheran, Lauderdale & Jones. He took a leave of absence from the practice of law to become Associate Professor of Law at St. Mary's University where he taught trial advocacy, legal research and writing, and coached moot court and mock trial teams. In 1975, Forrest L. Jones† and Bob began their association and formed the present law firm in 1984.
